The American Mindfulness Association advances the industry and professionalism of mindfulness as a business practice.

As a community we see mindfulness as the overarching word for an ecosystem of tools and practices that result in mindful leadership and living in the present moment. Our members are corporations, individuals and research institutions teaching and applying the neuroscience based and secular practice of mindfulness.

Advancing the use of mindfulness around the world through…

Networking.

Community Connection.

Education.

Ethical Standards.

The place for education, networking, and ethical standards of mindfulness practice.

There are many companies teaching mindfulness, sharing case studies, and developing research, but none bring them all together to advance the movement as a profession and recognized industry.

The American Mindfulness association meets the unmet need of so many mindfulness practitioners to have a “go to” resource for education, networking, and ethical standards of practice. The American Mindfulness Association will also be the national organization for professional recognition and advancement, offering the American Mindfulness Awards each year for key professionals, organizations and research that advance the vision and mission.

We have countless organizations doing a great job teaching mindfulness. What we don’t have yet is the foundation to become a respected professional industry.

Our Values

Action

Challenges we face as an industry include a lack of:

  • A standard definition of mindfulness
  • Research-based studies to demonstrate the value of mindfulness
  • Wide dissemination of case studies
  • Communicating the secular nature of mindfulness in these dynamic times
  • Recognized “Voice of” Mindfulness
  • Certification for the profession
  • Measurement tools
  • A shared statement of ethics
  • Awards and recognition as a respected industry

As the association grows these are real world benefits the American Mindfulness Association can and will address.

Authenticity

Members and leaders begin their work from a place of authenticity recognizing that their personal mindfulness practice is key to business success.

Collaboration

We will partner with existing organizations such as the American Mindfulness Research Association to bring in the key elements of mindfulness that are already in development. American Mindfulness association acknowledges it cannot do this transformational work alone.

Curiosity

A member dedicates themselves to collaboration for the advancement of the profession with curiosity and discovery.

Integrity

As the professional trade association for this emerging practice, it is expected all leaders work with the highest standards of integrity with strong morals as they demonstrate these values.

Financial Profit

The American Mindfulness Association is a non-profit business entity founded in the United State of America. We operate with the awareness that non-profit is a tax status, and we work to circulate finances in a transparent way, placing profits back into running and advancing the vision and mission.
